Throttle West International Moto Festival - Nakusp, BC

Throttle West Canada is an inclusive and friendly Travel-inspired International Moto Festival that takes place in Nakusp, British Columbia

It's a celebration for those who love travelling by motorcycle. Any kind of motorcycle and any brand of motorcycle. If your ride has two, or three wheels and some sort of motor – this is a place for you.

We encourage international motorcycle travel and include seminars to help people find the confidence take the next steps from riding locally to expanding their riding world.

Where: For the second year, Throttle West Canada will take place in Nakusp BC at Riders Retreat.

We also have our first event off of Canadian soil in the Peak District UK, taking place July 1st to 3rd, 2023, with another one in the works near Puerto Vallarta in Mexico in the winter of 2023/24

Nakusp and the surrounding area are a dream come true for motorcyclists. Whether you prefer to ride on road, or off, there is something amazing waiting for you there. Best of all, about 80% of the vehicles you will come across are other bikes enjoying the curves and scenery too!

Why did I start Throttle West? Women are starting to ride in numbers never seen before. Many of us started riding later in life and thoroughly enjoy the riding sisterhood. I wanted to put on an event for women to gather, share stories about their motorcycle adventures - past, present and future and learn more about life on the road as a solo traveler, or as a group traveler.

One of the great things about Throttle West is that whether you are staying at the all-inclusive campground (Riders Retreat), or in town at one of the hotels or motels, all you need to bring is you, your bike and whatever you need on a daily basis. Riders Retreat has your tent already set up with a queen-sized bed and bedding and of course your hotel will too!

Throttle West includes Entertainment both nights, Swag, Giveaways, Dinner Friday night, An on or off-road day ride on Saturday, Breakfast and Dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. Your accomodations are not included, as some people prefer to stay at hotels, some prefer Riders Retreat and some prefer to camp with their own gear.

If you are staying in town, we have a free shuttle to get people back and forth. For those of you who prefer to do your own motorcycle camping and bring all of your gear, Nakusp also has a municipal campground in town. The Shuttle can pick you up too.

Every year Throttle West chooses a Non-profit to support. This year we are donating to One Broker Biker, whose mission it is to raise funds and awareness for injured motorcyclists and their families; to provide financial support and compassionate services to help heal minds and bodies.
